Diventare Lumbung.

A YouTube Battle and a Harvest will be held in the spaces of Ar/Ge Kunst in Bolzano, following Paola Pietronave’s residency period in Jakarta, in the spaces of Gudskul Ekosistem, with the involvement of a number of locally active collectives, in order to start a process of sharing practices and knowledge. This will be a moment of mutual acquaintance, hopefully activating an interlocal network between the Bolzano and Jakarta ecosystems, with the participation of various members of ruangrupa and Gudskul Ekosistem, in which, starting from the knowledge of ‘Lumbung’ practices – i.e. the traditional Indonesian way of sharing a surplus of rice between families – we may together discuss strategy and sustainability models, through play and humour – one of the ‘Lumbung values’.

Diventare Lumbung (‘Becoming Lumbung’) is a project by Paola Pietronave, winner of the twelfth edition of the Italian Council, thanks to which she was able to spend a period of residence in the spaces of Gudskul Ekosistem in Jakarta, Indonesia. The project arose from the idea of linking Italy and Indonesia through the study and collection of the methodologies and practices of various collectives active in Indonesia, such as ruangrupa and Gudskul Ekosistem, with the intention of returning and developing such practices through the involvement of three institutions: Ar/Ge Kunst in Bolzano, MAMbo in Bologna and Fondazione Lac o Le Mon in San Cesario di Lecce, through three convivial workshop moments. https://gudskul.art/
