The performance -lalia, winner of the Swiss Performance Award 2021, will connect in real time the spaces of ar/ge kunst with the wooden Stube where Pier Paolo Pasolini filmed the scene of the death of Ser Ciappelletto, part of the movie Il Decameron (1971) and still conserved in the Bolzano’s Civic Museum. The performance reactivates this place through the presence of the demonic południca, a figure borrowed from Slavic folklore who haunted field workers at noon and who poses as metaphor for contemporary anxieties due to the current ecological and social crisis.

The performance is part of the exhibition The Lying Body: Only the Futures Revisit the Past with Alexandra Anikina, Riccardo Benassi, Monia Ben Hamouda, Dorota Gawęda and Eglė Kulbokaité, Walter Niedermayr, Elizabeth A. Povinelli, curated by Emanuele Guidi.
